Support for younger survivors at Pandora’s Aquarium:
Pandora’s Project welcomes teen survivors of rape and sexual abuse age 16 and older to our active message board and chat rooms. We believe that survivors younger than 16 need professional, face-to-face support than we cannot offer in our community. We apologize if you are unable to join our community because of this age restriction, and we encourage you to seek professional support or refer to the information provided above until you are able to join us.
It is our goal to encourage a healing environment that provides peer support to survivors of all ages, but we recognize that younger members may have different needs than others. While survivors 16 years and older are welcome to participate in all areas of our message board and chat rooms, we provide some support specifically geared towards the concerns of younger survivors.
Teens & Younger Survivors Forum:
Younger survivors are invited to participate in our forum for Teens & Younger Survivors. Here they can discuss issues involving parents, school, teachers, and other concerns specific to younger survivors. This forum also includes discussion topics on issues such as reaching out for the support you deserve and dealing with school.
Our chat room regularly holds chats for younger members, led by a moderator. These chats seek to bring members together to participate in healing discussions on various teen-specific subjects. Such chats are advertised on the board and we encourage all younger members to participate.
Additional resources for teens can be found here while more general resources are located here.
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
